The Farm
Purchased in August of 2021, the original poultry farm was the unlikely start of what would become the foundation for Myzel Organics
First Day
Transitioning from a former chicken farm to a clean, sterile mushroom-friendly space required a lot of hard work.
A Clean Slate
From chaos to clarity, our team threw themselves into making the space ready to grow something new.
Built for Growth
We invested in two 40-foot autoclaves to accelerate mushroom production and maintain consistency.
Ready For Production
The farm is transformed into a clean, sterile environment, with everything calibrated for the first production run.
First Harvest
From setup to success, our first full production cycle was officially complete.

The Myzel Advantage
What’s in a Name?
Growing interest in the functional mushroom space comes at a cost: a market flooded with mushroom-oriented company names.Instead of looking for the next hot topic, we chose something close to our hearts. Our Founders tuned into their German roots, and selected the German word for mycelium.
Myzel = Mycelium.
We also loved the the name reflects the nature of our products. We’re a full-spectrum functional mushroom company that includes mycelium, the antibodies/enzymes secreted into the fermented substrate, and some fruiting bodies in our products. Choosing a name that reflects this just feels honest.
